Where did pecan tart originate?

Pecan tart, also known as pecan pie, is a dessert that originated in the southern United States. It's a popular dessert in states like Georgia, Texas, and Louisiana, where pecan trees are abundant. However, the exact origin of pecan tart is not entirely clear. Some historians believe that the dish was inspired by French pastries like tarte aux noix, while others suggest that it may have been influenced by Native American cuisine.

What is pecan tart filling made of?

Pecan tart filling is typically made with a combination of eggs, sugar, corn syrup, butter, vanilla extract, and, of course, pecans. The filling is poured into a pre-baked pie crust and then baked in the oven until it sets. Some variations of the recipe may include additional ingredients, such as bourbon or chocolate chips, but the basic ingredients remain the same.
